    Kind regards

  6. Chandan says:

How long does it take for a payment, from one persons nab account to another persons nab account to clear?

    • NAB says:

      Hi Chandan,

Generally speaking, a funds transfer from a NAB account to a non-linked (or 3rd party) NAB account can take 24 to 48 hours to be cleared through, depending on whether it is a first time transfer or not.

First time single transfers will be delayed by a minimum of 24 hours. Transfer processing times are also dependent on when the transfer was submitted and whether it is a part of a multiple transfer (as would be the case with an

employer paying wages for example); you might find the following useful ^SN

  7. Cristina balderama says:

    • NAB says:

      HI Cristina,

Generally speaking, a funds transfer from a NAB account to a non-linked (or 3rd party) NAB account can take 24 to 48 business hours to clear through, depending on whether it is a first time transfer or not.

First time single transfers will be delayed by a minimum of 24 hours.

Transfer processing times are also dependent on when the transfer was submitted and whether it is a part of a multiple transfer (as would be the case with an employer paying wages for example); you might find the following useful.

Should you find that the funds have not cleared into the other person’s account after the 48 hours, please check the account details you’ve input in the transfer and if they’re correct, you could raise a dispute on the funds transfer.

Here is how you can raise a dispute via your Internet Banking.

      Alternatively, you can call us on 13 22 65 8am-7pm Mon-Fri and 9am-6pm Sat-Sun AEDT/AEST ^SN

    • NAB says:

      Hi Nicola,

Did your daughter submit the instructions later than usual?

I can’t get the online transfer to work as it won’t accept anything other than numbers. How do I transfer these funds

    • NAB says:

  19. Eden Hitch says:

    Hi there,

I transferred $300 from my nab account to Westpac account on the 8/10/14 also another $200 on the 9/10/14. The money still has not been received. I actually know for a fact that I typed the correct details. Is the four business days the normal time it takes to transfer money from one account to another?

I did not have the Westpac account saved as a normal payee, but it is very distressing that $500 is now in limbo!!

    Please help!

    • NAB says:

Bank to bank transfer shouldn’t take anymore than 3 business days. I recommend calling us on 13 22 65 to lodge a dispute on the transactions. ^RW

Top work NAB!! Very happy customer.

  27. Chey says:

I just opened a nab everyday account for my househol. This was so everyone can transfer money into the one account and the rent be paid via that account. My house mates have transferred funds but it hasn’t come through
They are all from different banks, how long will it be until it comes through and will it be like this every time they transfer funds into the account?

    • NAB says:

Hi Chey, as soon as we receive the funds; it does get deposited into your account within the same day. If they are with other banking institutions, it may take longer depending on their processing times. Usually it takes 2-3 business days ^LB

  28. Doug says:

How long does it take for ‘Pay Anyone’ access to be approved? I’ve applied for it and when I go to add payees bank details, it says that the page is unauthorized – I assume this is because the access is still being approved??

    • NAB says:

Hi Doug, the changes should be immediate – if you’re having issues you can always contact the Internet Banking specialists on 13 22 65 ^DK

  29. Darren says:

Hi I am receiving funds into my account from the nab bank itself after a sale of property and the bank discharge of loan and was wondering if there is a 24 hr wait period from the deposit time it was delivered ( say 9.30 am) does that mean it would be clear 9.30 am the next business day or is it cleared straight away thanks

    • NAB says:

Hi Darren, once the settlement has gone through and the discharge forms have been processed the funds are credited to your account. If they haven’t arrived yet, please send an email through to social.media@nab.com.au and we’ll see how we can help ^BH

  30. Daniel says:

Hi so I’m a nab customer and what I want to know is why does the time Cary in which my pay goes through? My employer puts my pay insane time every day within 5 minutes and my pay clears at all sorts of stupid times, some times it’s there at 7am other days it’s not there till 9pm. Why is this? Why do all my mates who bank with other banks get paid before me? I have noticed that nab have longer than other banks waiting times and have heard it’s because man play with the money before you get it?

    • NAB says:

Hi Daniel, with our same day processing, the funds are credited to your account as soon as we receive them so the times can vary ^BH

  31. Rebecca Cordes says:

I transfered money from my mother account to mine normally it is a instant transfer this time its hasnt gone through, I also tried ringing Nab and couldnt get anyone on the phone for over 15 minutes .

  32. Reza B says:

Hi there. I need to transfer my funds to an ANZ account. After putting the BSB and account number and clicking next to proceed, it kept stopping and said my request can’t go through and it said “invalid account type for transfer to account”. Could you please advise?

    • NAB says:

      Hi Reza,

Are you trying to transfer funds directly from your isaver account?

Please first transfer the funds to your transactional account and then to the ANZ account.

If you need further assistance, please email us at social.media@nab.com.au ^SN

  33. Sam Willis says:

My sister who is with Nab has transferred $2,000 into my account but it hasn’t immediately gone in. She has transfered money to me previously and it has gone in. Why wouldn’t it do the same now?

  34. Elena says:

I made a nab internal transfer from one nab account to another nab account (both have my name). A payee account is new but as both accounts are linked the transfer shouldn’t take that long I believe. I transferred funds yesterday at 5pm and today at 9pm I still haven’t got them on my new nab account. A strange thing – the funds appeared on my new account right after the transaction via Internet banking, stayed for a few hours there and then vanished from the payee account. I’ve contacted NAB team several times and they say it can take up to 48 hours for the transfer to be cleared though the accounts are linked. Is it usual? To me it seems abnormal and is very frustrating.

    • NAB says:

Sorry for the delayed response Elena, if you log in to your internet banking and you can view both of your accounts under that internet banking profile, then the funds transfer should be instant – if they’re not both there, then it can take up to 48 hours ^BH

  35. maria says:

how much do I have to pay to transfer to a commonwealth bank account?

    • NAB says:

      Hi Maria,

There is no cost to transferring funds from your NAB account to an account in another financial institution in Australia via your NAB Internet Banking ^SN

  36. chua yong siang says:

Hi, can i know will there be a charge, which ANZ bank tranfer to NAB bank. tks

    • NAB says:

Hi Chua, if you’re sending funds from another financial institution to NAB (within Australia) we don’t charge a fee for receiving the funds ^BH

  37. Paula says:

Hi, I just transferred some funds to my daughters nab account from my nab account. I have done this before and it was instantly available. I did it at approx 640 pm brisbane time tuesday. Why have the funds not cleared yet and when will they be available? Regards paula

  38. jade says:

I’ve transfered funds from my everyday account to my isaver account by mistake and i need to transfer it back to one of my everyday accounts asap and its showing balance with funds but available balance zero how long until I can transfer it back into my everyday account so I can withdraw

    • NAB says:

Hi Jade, it sounds like the account may have a debit restriction on it which is why it’s showing a zero balance – generally new accounts have this until you visit the branch to provide 100 points of ID, if you pop into your nearest branch they will be able to remove the stop ^TC

  39. Tayla says:

I made a transfer last night of $2,000 to my partner who is with NAB as well. The money still isn’t in his account, is their an approximate time it takes for that certain amount to be in their account?
I didn’t realise it would take so long and it is an urgent matter this money is in his account by 3pm today.

    • NAB says:

Hi Tayla, generally it will be instant but can take up to 24 hours – if you haven’t sent funds to your partner before it will take longer for the first transfer, save him as a trusted payee and make sure you’re both registered for SMS Security as this helps ^TC

  40. Robert says:

My daughter often sends me money from her NAB account to my NAB account.
It seems it has been instant for the last year. But recently i am noticing that some transfers are taking longer.
    Has something changed.
An $80 transfer on Thursday night arrived instantly, but a $1500 transfer at the same time still hasnt arrived. It is now Sunday.
I know we have done $1,000 instant transfers in the past.

  41. Caitlin says:

My mum put money into my account , it’s been a week and it still hasn’t cleared??

    • NAB says:

      Hi Caitlin,

How did your mum make the deposit?

If it was cash over the counter, deposit via NAB ATM or a NAB to NAB transfer a week sounds too long.

I’d suggest your mum follows up from her end as she initiated the transaction ^SN

  42. Bobby-Leigh Redgard says:

My partner transferred money from his nab to my nab account as I needed the money instantly. I usually have him transfer to my boq account – it still has not cleared and I could of had the money in my boq account cleared by now. It is 2015 nearly 2016 – every other bank I have dealt with is instant when it is the same bank. I also was told within 24 hours and my second call to see if I could speed it up was told minimum of 24 hours! This is an emergency situation the money is needed and your staff are giving out conflicting information! I am appalled at this service and seriously think your advertising is misleading – same day credited – he credited my account it should be in my account as its already hit your account because it’s the same bank! This is misleading and if you don’t watch yourself nab you will have another law suit in your hands for not doing the right thing by your customers!

    • NAB says:

Sorry for the frustrating experience Bobby-Leigh, if the funds still haven’t arrived yet, please have the sender call us on 13 22 65 as they may need to lodge a trace. Our funds transfer timeframes from a NAB account aren’t affected by same day processing. Also, any transfer to an account not linked your internet banking that’s submitted on a public holiday or a weekend, won’t be processed until the next business day – you can find our funds transfer time frames here ^BH

  43. emilee reid says:

My mum transferred 2000 to my account 11am and has transferred to me before ( normally clears straight away) the money still isnt in my account. How long should this take??

    • NAB says:

Hi Emilee, the transfer can take 24-48 hours if they haven’t arrived by midday Tuesday, please have your mum contact us to lodge a dispute (if she banks with us) ^BH

  44. Lisa Faafuata says:

I transferred money from one account to another using the NAB app on my phone (my own accounts) but it says i am unable to withdraw funds at the moment – how long does it take to clear?

    • NAB says:

Hi Lisa, funds transfers between accounts are instant, as you’ve transferred funds and they’re showing as not available, it’s likely that there’s a debit restriction on your account. If you haven’t spoken to the team yet on 13 22 65 about this, please do so as they may be able to remove it on the spot ^BH

  45. Iris says:

I am trying to transfer funds from my Nab everyday transaction account to another nab account but the “transfer funds” option has been greyed out under the account. I also tried going via the “funds transfer” tab but i am unable to see my everyday account in the “from account” drop down list. fyi, I only have $3 in the account. Is this an issue?

  46. Ricki-lee says:

My friend who is with (beyond bank) has transfured 500 dollars into my account on a friday before 2pm….and i know both our banks are opened saturdat…how come i have not recieved the money….. it is now saturday 10:25am qld time…. and both are bank are open and i have not recieved the money

    • NAB says:

Hi Ricki-lee, you’ll need to speak to your friends financial institution to find out what their funds transfer time frames are; it’s most likely the funds should be there in two business days ^BH

  47. IAN says:

I transfer money from my Nab account to a beneficiary sun-corp account ,the sum of 14,000 USD. on friday 2pm .The beneficiary doesn’t see any deposit on his account , what is delaying ?

    • NAB says:

Hi Ian, it sounds like you made a local transfer but in a foreign currency – that’s a bit odd. To resolve this quickly, please give us a call on 13 66 22 (+61 3 8641 9083 if you’re overseas) from 8am-7pm Mon-Fri, or 9am-6pm on weekends (AEST/AEDT). Alternatively, you can send through a Secure Message on Internet Banking in regards to this issue and the team will investigate – here’s how to use this channel: http://nab.co/1calOlw ^DH
